Outer order contributes to inner calm.

“Outer order contributes to inner calm.”

Gretchen Rubin

I love this quote.  Actually, I live this quote.  I help my clients create order in their homes to calm them.  Your environment does dictate how you feel and how you function in your space.  I can’t preach this enough that when things are organized, simple, and in control how much better everything just is.

Gretchen Rubin has written books on Happiness and has a great podcast called Happier.  I highly recommend it.  I feel like I am on a constant quest to be happier and to do better.  Helping clients get organized makes me happy and makes them happier so it helps that my job is what it is.

Give it a try.  Tackle a visual area that stresses you out.  A table top, or a few open shelves.  Stuff you can see, not inside a drawer (that comes later).  See how you feel when it is done and how you feel in that space each day after.  You will be calmer.
