This is an important lesson. You get credit for what you finish, not for what you started. You may be late but doing it is better than not doing it at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the home, finishing the laundry is key – washing, drying, folding, putting away. If you stop in the middle, you can’t find what you need when you need it and have piles in places they shouldn’t be. Another example is paying bills. You get the mail, open the mail, place bills in a specified location, pay bills by writing the check or going online so it reaches the institution on time, file the paid bill. If you get to the placing bills a location but not the rest, you haven’t paid it! Even in this situation paying late is better than not at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Completing something takes time and understanding how long and when to do each step is just as important as starting it because it isn’t done until it’s done. Plan everything according to the time it takes to complete it. Writing out the steps (even if seems straight forward) and estimating the time it takes to do each step helps you pick a time in your schedule that fits the time to complete. Once you really know how long it takes, you will be better at allowing the right amount of time to do said task. Trying to do a 20 minute task in 5 minutes only leads to stress and disappointment.
